Include us in IEBC talks, small political parties demand

Small political parties have threatened to hault the dialogue process that will see the national electoral body reformed ahead of the 2017 elections if they will not be included in the reforming exercise.

Led by Amani Party chief executive officer Petronila Wereh and Alfayo Agufuna of the National Agenda Party, the leaders called for an inclusive dialogue to the IEBC involving all political parties and accused the government of ignoring small political parties in matters of national concern.

Addressing the press, they wondered why only Cord and Jubilee Coalitions have been given priority in solving the IEBC stalemate, saying they will move to court to prevent Coalition select member-teams mandated to dialogue over the issue, from executing their mandates if their plea will be ignored.
