Uasin Gishu County health officers operating in all the county facilities have been urged to work with members of the public in providing quality health services.
Health County Executive Committee Member Ms Margaret Chepkwony said strong relationship between health officers and residents should always be considered, for the county to prosper in terms of health, interaction and coherence.
Speaking during a public baraza held at the Turbo Health Centre, the CeC said the county government is working on equipping the Turbo Health Centre for area residents to benefit.
Construction of some buildings is currently on course at the Centre.
The Monday baraza was convened following public outcry that the facility was in a deplorable condition, despite serving huge number of patients from the area and the neighbouring Lugari Constituency in Kakamega County.
Speaking at the baraza, some locals urged the Uasin Gishu County government to upgrade the old health facility within Turbo, by equipping and upgrading it to more deserving standards.
”We are going to upgrade this facility once the building under construction is completed. Modern laboratory, patient wards and a theatre are among the key priorities we will give to the facility,” Ms Chepkwony affirmed.
