Court lifts warrant of arrest against Mutambo

A magistrates Court in Nairobi has lifted warrant of arrest issued against Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambo.

This is after the MP defended himself and convinced the Court that he was ill and could not make it to the Court, for hearing of a case in which he is accused of assault.

Mutambo presented a medical report to the Kibera principal magistrate Bernard Ochoyi, saying he has been recuperating from undisclosed sickness.

Mutambo who is out on a cash bail of twenty-thousand shillings was warned by the magistrate to take Court matters seriously until the final ruling of his case.

The lawmaker further denied assaulting controversial city preacher Thomas Wahome of the Helicopter of Christ Ministries, in September 2015.
