Meru County Women Representative Florence Kajuju has castigated claims by Jubilee Nominated Senator Paul Njoroge, that people from Mount Kenya region will not support Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid, as agreed in the Jubilee manifesto.
The agreement was reached between Ruto and president Uhuru Kenyatta before the 2013 general polls, to ascend Jubilee government to power for twenty consecutive years- Uhuru ten (2013-2022, and Ruto ten as well (2022-2032).
According to Kajuju, the Naivasha senator has nothing to offer to Jubilee and should be ignored.
She said Jubilee already made up its agendas, adding that Ruto was endorsed during the signing of the Uhuru’s TNA party and Ruto’s United Republican Party (URP) merger, which resulted to the making of Jubilee Coalition.
Misunderstandings over if or not supporters of President Uhuru will support Ruto have been on the wave, creating a political heat, which president Uhuru settled through State House.
He said it is a done deal, that his deputy, will unanimously receive Jubilee support in 2022, to enable him become Kenya’s 5th president.
However, critics say Uhuru and his supporters are luring Ruto, to enable him (Uhuru) become a two-term president and later ‘dump’ him.
