Jomvu MP Badi oppose appointment of Johnny Andersen as KAA CEO

Jomvu MP Twalib Badi has opposed appointment of Johnny Andersen as the new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA).

Badi says Yatich Kangugo who was the KAA Acting MD and should have been elevated to take full responsibilities and functions as the MD.

The MP told the press on Thursday that everything ran smoothly in all Airports under the management of Kangugo ever since he came from Moi International Airport in Mombasa and so he is the ideal person for the position.

Kangugo replaced Lucy Mbugua in an acting capacity following her sacking after she was linked to illegal procurement of airport busses.

KAA chairman Rtd KDF Gen Julius Karangi announced the unpredicted appointment of the Norwegian national as new KAA boss on Tuesday leaving partners with questions over the appointment.

Kangugo has also questioned the suitability of Andersen who resumed work immediately, saying his appointment should be investigated for he was not appointed in a fair and just manner.
