A Police radio (Wokitoki) that is believed to be of Constable Fredrick Leliman, one of the four Administration Police (AP) officers linked to the disappearance, torture and murder of International Justice Mission lawyer Willie Kimani and his two associates, has been found at an area where the trio might have been killed.
Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has disclosed that the Wokitoki was transferred from Soweto in Syokimau Machakos County to Juja AP camp before it disappeared on the similar day that the late Willie, his client Josephat Mwenda and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri went missing.
According to Nkaissery, residents at Soweto saw a vehicle within the area and informed a neighbour who is a police officer at Mlolongo Weighbridge station who visited the area where the trio were allegedly killed, and questioned two men who said they were police officers.
Nkaissery said the Weighbridge officer trusted the two men after seeing them with the Wokitoki.
The suspects were on Monday this week, remanded for 30 days by the High Court in Nairobi, pending investigations.
Three male officers have been remanded at Industrial Area Police Station while the female Wanjiku Wanjohi is remanded at Lang’ata Women’s Prison in Nairobi.
