The National Super Alliance (Nasa), has launched adopt-a-polling-station.
The brigade disclosed that this is a conceptual cause that asks their supporters, to make it their business to safeguard votes in the August polls.
“We want to protect the will of the people. We are saying no to a bungled election. No, to an election that will not inspire confidence among Kenyan voters,” said presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
During the launch, his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, Musalia Mudavadi and Isaac Ruto were in attendance.
In adopting a polling station, the coalition is asking “Kenyan democrats, who believe in social justice and fairness, to promote peace and extend kindness to one another.”
One can choose to support this cause by providing food to Nasa agents at a polling station, cater for the daily allowances of any of their agents at a polling station or even keep vigil until the last vote is counted and results announced.
Odinga called on Nasa supporters to group themselves in groups of five or ten people, to make sure adopt-a-polling station is a success.
He said this will ensure the IEBC officials in all the polling stations conduct credit elections.
